Job summary

Sandvik is seeking a Service Technician – Heavy Diesel, Mobile Plant & Drill Fitter in Pooraka, SA. You will perform mechanical and auto electrical maintenance and fault diagnosis on Sandvik mining equipment, following maintenance plans to ensure reliability and safety.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate record-keeping, and proactive feedback to improve maintenance planning. Eligible candidates must have Australian rights to work and a Class C Driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certification required.
  • Experience with trucks, loaders and drilling mobile mining equipment advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct mechanical and auto electrical duties including maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on Sandvik Mining equipment.
  • Perform maintenance tasks per maintenance plans to ensure safe operation and reliability.
  • Provide feedback to improve maintenance planning and efficiency.
  • Keep meticulous records of parts usage, equipment monitoring and time logs.
  • Adhere to all policies and EHS requirements.

Your demonstrated experience with trucks, loaders, and drilling mobile mining equipment will be a distinct advantage. You should have a strong and proven safety culture, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong customer service focus. Your motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals, along with a proactive, self-motivated attitude and the ability to take initiative, are essential.
