Job summary

Walls Construction is seeking a Project Surveyor to manage commercial aspects of construction projects through the delivery phase. You will prepare and verify valuation records, manage subcontractor packages, and administer contracts to keep projects on time and within budget.

The role requires strong numerical and communication skills, experience with contract forms, and proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook. On-site collaboration and proactive problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Surveyor, Commercial Surveyor or similar in construction.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail, with experience preparing valuations and payment applications.
• Good understanding of standard forms of contract, change control procedures and entitlement principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain measurement records, valuation schedules and interim payment applications.
• Assess and value variations, claims and compensation events with supporting documentation.
• Administer subcontract and supplier contracts, issue instructions and monitor payments.
• Review site works, carry out site visits to verify quantities and quality.
• Prepare cost monitoring reports and forecast budget changes.
• Liaise with project managers, site teams, design consultants and clients on commercial issues.
• Collate project commercial records in the Document Management System for auditability.
• Assist with procurement activities and negotiations of terms.
• Support risk management through contingency proposals and cost-saving measures.
