Job summary

Brisbane Markets Limited (BML) operates the Brisbane Markets in Rocklea, a busy 77-hectare site with 160+ tenants. We are seeking a reliable Site Cleaner to keep the markets clean, safe, and presentable after the morning rush.

You will use equipment like pressure washers and scrubbers and support grounds maintenance as part of a friendly, down-to-earth team. The role offers permanent full-time hours (40/wk) with a pay rise after 6 months.

Qualifications

• C Class Licence (MR Licence desirable) with a clean driving record.
• Forklift Licence (LF) – highly desirable.
• Experience driving with trailers and using blowers/vacuums.
• Good knowledge of safe work practices.
• Strong time management and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Physical fitness to handle active, outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Keep Brisbane Markets clean and presentable after the morning rush.
• Operate equipment such as pressure washers, scrubbers, and vehicles/ trailers.
• Assist with grounds maintenance tasks at Brisbane Markets.
• Maintain a safe, tidy, and welcoming site for tenants and visitors.

At Brisbane Markets Limited (BML), we’re proud to own and operate the bustling Brisbane Markets® in Rocklea – just 11km from the Brisbane CBD.

Our 77-hectare site is home to 160+ tenants, including selling floors, warehouses, retailers, and offices. Every day, more than 4,500 people pass through our gates — making it one of Queensland’s most dynamic and fast-paced workplaces.

Our Operations Team keeps it all running smoothly, maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment — and now, we’re looking for a reliable Site Cleaner to join the team!

About the Role

As a Site Cleaner, you’ll play a key role in keeping our Markets clean and presentable after the morning rush. You’ll operate a range of tools and machinery to ensure the site is spotless, safe, and ready for business — all while working as part of a supportive, down-to-earth team.

You’ll use and learn equipment such as:

Pressure Washer

Scrubber

Vehicles & Trailers

You’ll also lend a hand with grounds maintenance tasks — helping to keep Brisbane Markets looking its best every day.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6.30am – 3.00pm (no weekend work!)

About You

You’re a hands-on, team-focused person who takes pride in doing a great job. You enjoy working outdoors, keeping busy, and being part of a friendly, reliable crew.

You’ll bring:
