Job description

  • Own the admin at DDPS: purchase orders, invoices, contracts and suppliers
  • Permanent Monday to Friday role with a stable routine and work-life balance

Join a team that's All Kinds of Useful

At Origin, being useful is more than a tagline - it’s how we approach work every day. As a collective, we’re a team that thrives on finding better ways, working together, and owning our impact. From powering homes to delivering award-winning internet and helping to lead Australia’s energy transition. If you’re driven by purpose and excited to be part of something bigger, we’d love to have you on the journey.

About the role:

Be the go-to person at the heart of one of Origin’s key gas-fired power stations. As our DDPS Administrator, you’ll be the single point of contact for site administration and support at Darling Downs Power Station. You’ll keep procurement, finance and day-to-day workflows running smoothly so our operational team can focus on powering the grid. You’ll report directly to the Darling Downs Power Station Manager, and you’ll help build the capability and culture that drives our site forward.

Why this role matters?

  • Manage purchase orders, requisitions and invoice tracking in SAP, in line with the annual site budget
  • Resolve procurement, freight and supplier issues by working with Accounts Payable, suppliers and other business units
  • Support the delivery of the site’s annual operating and capital budgets, and monitor financial compliance reports
  • Provide data entry support for inventory and vendor onboarding (Sphera and Ariba) and help contract owners keep contract information current
  • Coordinate the site SharePoint and calendars, and support site capability initiatives such as safety programs, occupational health testing and training

What will you bring?

  • Coordinating administration in a medium to large organisation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers
  • Knowledge of SAP (or a similar system such as Maximo or Oracle eAMS), and a solid grounding in inventory control, purchasing and expense accounting
  • High-level skills in MS Office, SharePoint and Teams
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset, with the organisation and time management to multitask under pressure and work with minimal supervision

So, why join us?

  • 21 weeks of paid parental leave for primary carers with flexible return options.
  • Thrive in a culture of personal and professional growth.
  • Purchase up to four additional weeks of leave annually.
  • Engage in opportunities through the Origin Foundation to support your community.
  • Powering your career with unbeatable perks - Get discounted electricity, gas, and internet as an Origin employee.
  • Explore unique and cost-effective employee EV Car subscriptions.
