Job summary

Qantas Airways is seeking a highly skilled Simulator Maintenance Technical Officer for a 2-year fixed-term, full-time position based at the Mascot Campus in Sydney. The role involves operating, repairing and calibrating complex mechanical and electronic systems on Emergency Procedure Devices to maintain training fidelity.

You will work in a collaborative team, manage fault logs, and implement service bulletins to ensure training equipment readiness for scheduled sessions.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on simulator and emergency procedure training equipment.
• Operate, repair, overhaul, modify, test and calibrate mechanical and electronic systems on Emergency Procedure Equipment.
• Attend to training equipment and classroom breakdowns and ensure equipment is set up for training.
• Review tech logs and fault logs during shift and address defects that affect training fidelity and maintenance support.
• Implement Field Service Bulletins, SEO's and EI's.

Duties include:

Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on simulator and emergency procedure training equipment

Operate, repair, overhaul, modify, test and / or calibrate any complex mechanical and electronic systems on Emergency Procedure Equipment

Attend to training equipment, classroom breakdowns and ensure equipment is set up for training

Review tech logs and fault logs during shift and immediately attend to defects that impact training or fidelity of training equipment maintenance support

Implement Field Service Bulletins, SEO's and EI's

Work closely in a team and take ownership of defects and follow through to completion
