Job summary

Wellways invites applications for a SIL Support Worker to assist participants with complex disability and mental health needs in their home and community. You will help develop skills for independent living and deliver innovative support structures within our SIL Program.

The role requires compassion, reliability and a commitment to person-centred care, with opportunities to grow in a nationally recognized organisation.

Qualifications

• You’re a passionate, empathetic and caring individual with a calm, resilient outlook.
• Experience supporting people with complex needs is valued.
• Ability to engage and empower participants to live autonomously.
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support participants with personal care and daily living tasks.
• Provide domestic/daily living support and meal preparation assistance.
• Transport participants and accompany them in community activities.
• Follow Behaviour Support Plans as required.
• Support overnight and occasional sleepovers when needed.
• Promote independent living and community participation.
