The role requires strong expertise in IMSv15, DB2 on z/OS, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and performance tuning. You will drive database design, migrations, and enforcement of SLAs while collaborating in a fast-paced, global team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IMS/DB2 on z/OS in large production environments.
• Experience with IMS v15 Database Administration and z/OS.
• Proven skills in DBDs, PSBs, ACBs and ACB management.

Position Summary:

Cognizant is looking for a Lead Mainframe Database Administrator (IMS/DB2) with 10+ years' experience in both IMS DBA and IMS system programming in IMS v14, 15 on z/OS. Candidate should possess strong knowledge on IMS v15 Database Administration. Requires 7x24 support experience in a large production environment. Excellent Verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal Skills. The candidate should have worked in a SLA driven environment. Ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented and constantly changing environment.
