Job summary

Rio Tinto invites applications for a Supervisor Maintenance Shutdowns at Dampier Port Operations. Lead, mentor and develop the Fixed Plant team to safely execute planned shutdowns and achieve short-term objectives.

You’ll ensure compliance with standards, coordinate resources, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining work-life balance on a 5/5/4 roster including day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Essential mechanical trade background with practical technical support for maintainers.
• Statutory Supervisor qualification/licence required.
• Current WA C-class driver’s licence (manual).
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching and development of teams.
• Contractor management experience.
• Strong SAP capability for work execution and maintenance reporting.
• Familiarity with Rio Tinto work management processes and shutdown execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Fixed Plant team during shutdowns, delivering safe and quality-maintained work.
• Manage daily maintenance activities to maximise productivity and minimise cost.
• Provide frontline leadership and technical direction to tradespersons and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with Rio Tinto standards, permits, isolations and safe work practices.
• Capture lessons learned to improve future shutdown safety and reliability.
