Job summary

KAEFER Integrated Services is seeking experienced Boilermakers and Mechanical Fitters for a shutdown in the Bowen Basin. Dates: 26th October 2026 through to late November/early December. You will perform CHPP maintenance and repairs, support shutdown scopes, and work with multi-discipline teams to meet daily targets.

The role requires relevant trade qualifications, BMA Core Induction, Standard 11, Coal Board Medical, and local Bowen Basin residency. Meals and accommodation are provided on site.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate as Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter.
• Proven experience in CHPP maintenance and repair tasks.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Execute CHPP maintenance and repair activities safely and efficiently.
• Support shutdown scopes including clean coal, raw coal and thickener works.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to meet daily targets and uphold site standards.
• Roster: Monday to Friday with 4x12 hour days then a 10 hour day; DIDO to Moranbah from surrounding areas.

KAEFER Integrated Services is currently seeking experienced Boilermakers and Mechanical Fitters to work on an upcoming Shutdown we have in the Bowen Basin.

Duration: 26th October 2026 through to late November/ early December.

ABOUT THE JOB

• Execute CHPP maintenance and repair activities safely and efficiently

• Support shutdown scopes including clean coal, raw coal and thickener works

• Collaborate with multi-disc teams to meet daily targets and uphold site standards

• DIDO to Moranbah from surrounding areas

• Meals and accommodation provided while working (not on weekends)

• Monday to Friday roster, 4x12 hour days then a 10 hour day so you can travel home
