Job summary

KAEFER Integrated Services is seeking skilled Boilermakers to join our Northern Roving Crew, supporting shutdowns, down‑day coverage and backfill across our permanent maintenance contracts in the Bowen Basin. If you’re after a flexible, rewarding role where every day brings something different, this opportunity is for you!

Expect no fixed roster, with transport from Mackay to site, plus accommodation and meals while on assignment.

Qualifications

• Current Driver’s License and proof of right to work in Australia required.
• Trade qualification in fabrication is required.
• OHS / Construction Card is required.
• Responsibilities include working at heights and confined space protocols.
• Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical compliance is required.

Responsibilities

• Structural inspections to identify defects in steelwork and fabricated components.
• Completing fabrication and welding repairs, rebuilds and hot‑work tasks.
• Component replacements, including fitting, installing and replacing steel components.
• Conducting routine maintenance checks, inspections and servicing.
• Interpreting and working from fabrication and maintenance documentation.
• Completing pre‑starts, JHAs and following site and Australian Standards.
