Glencore's Rolleston Open Cut is seeking a safety‑focused blasting crew professional. You will protect health and safety around the operation, ensure SHMS compliance, and follow supervisor directions to meet KPIs. You may contribute to continuous improvement within the crew.

The role requires explosives clearance, a QLD driver licence, RIIBLA201, and Standard 11 induction, with knowledge of the Explosives Act. Experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Rolleston Open Cut is a 16Mtpa thermal coal mine located in the southern Bowen Basin in Central Queensland. With a long life of mine and low operating costs, the mine has a bright outlook. About the Role

• The safety and health of all persons and equipment in and around the mining operation.
• Ensure compliance with the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS).
• Demonstrate visible safety and integrity by adhering to instructions issued by the Blasting Supervisors and Shotfirers to achieve KPIs.
• Display a strong commitment to identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities and contribute to the ongoing development of an efficient Blast crew.

About you

• Explosives QLD Security Clearance.
• Valid QLD Drivers Licence.
• Current RIIBLA201 Competency.
• Current Standard 11 Generic Induction.
• Understanding of the current QLD Explosives Act and Regulations.
• Previous experience is considered an advantage but not required.
• Proactive attitude to safety.
• Exhibit strong communication skills, & Embrace company values and contribute to a safe and efficient work culture.
