Job summary

Franchise Fitout Group in NSW Sydney is seeking a hands-on Site Supervisor with carpentry/shopfitting expertise to drive fitout projects from end to end.

You will lead trades, monitor progress, coordinate with clients and managers, ensure OH&S compliance, and deliver high-quality outcomes on tight deadlines.

Own tools and a full driver's license are required; generous remuneration available for experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification in carpentry/shopfitting.
• Experience on the tools with supporting evidence.
• Proven track record in hospitality and retail fitouts – 3 years minimum.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Own tools and ability to work with a range of trades.

Responsibilities

• Lead trades to complete fitout works on time and with high quality.
• Monitor, report progress and maintain regular communication with project managers.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Be hands-on with installation works including carpentry, cabinetry, framing and finishing.
• Plan daily tasks, allocate duties and solve site issues.
• Coordinate and manage sub-contractors and on-site trades.
• Maintain OH&S and quality standards on site.

The Role/Responsibilities:

Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to meet construction compliance, scheduled project outcomes and deadlines whilst motivating the trades to get the job done on time and with high quality.

Monitor, report progress and regular communication with project managers.

Liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Be hands on with a variety of installation works including carpentry, cabinetry, framing and finishing works.

Be able to forward plan, allocate daily duties, identify and problem solve any trade specific site issues and provide solutions for on-site teams.

Coordinating and managing sub-contractors and on-site trades.

Monitor all OH&S and quality assurance to ensure high standards are always met.

Hold current White Card and First Aid certifications to ensure compliance with construction industry safety standards.

Demonstrate the highest level of communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Follow all company procedures and system.

To Be Successful You Must Have:

Relevant trade qualification in carpentry/shopfitting with experience on the tools with supporting evidence.

Proven track record and experienced in hospitality and retail fitouts – 3 years minimum.

Outstanding Attention to detail.

Be self-motivated with the demonstrated ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Experience and demonstrate on-site leadership skills to manage shop fitout projects from end to end.

Exceptional at reading and understanding plans, construction, OH&S and regulatory practices.

Experience in undertaking on site set outs, joinery installation, framing and sheeting.

Understanding in joinery manufacture with the ability to do material take offs and provide measures as required.

Strong people skills and be experienced in managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders and delivering client satisfaction.

Have your own power tools.

Full driver's license and your own transport.
