Job summary

VIP Marine is offering full-time roles at our Holroyd and Taren Point workshops in Sydney. You will assist with a variety of boat repairs, maintenance, and refits, applying skills in carpentry, fibreglass work, and finish details to restore vessels to premium condition.

Successful applicants will have trade qualifications or practical experience in marine repair and a proactive, team-oriented approach. The role supports learning marine repair techniques and working across a range of boats.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualifications or practical experience in one or more of the areas above
• Good attention to detail and pride in your work
• Reliability and a practical approach to solving problems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn marine repair techniques
• Experience in automotive panel beating, paint preparation or detailing is welcome.

We welcome applicants with experience in shipwright work, fibreglass repairs. You don’t need experience in every area—we’re interested in the skills you can bring to the team.

About the Work

Based at our Taren Point or Holroyd workshops, you’ll assist with a variety of boat repairs, maintenance and refits.

Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:

• Structural and cosmetic boat repairs
• Fibreglass and gelcoat repairs
• Timber work, flooring and interior fit-outs
• Safe operation of workshop tools and equipment
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area

What We’re Looking For
