Job summary

Underwood's Marine on Brisbane Bayside is seeking a motivated tradesperson to join our workshop immediately. We specialise in repair, restoration, and construction of classic wooden boats, and we also build and repair composite craft, including rowing boats.

Trade qualifications are preferred, but solid experience and a strong work ethic matter most. You’ll work with a collaborative team and gain opportunities for leadership as we grow.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build and repair classic wooden boats.

Are you a boatbuilder with a passion for boats and the skills to match?

At Underwood's Marine we live and breathe boats. While we specialise in the repair, restoration, and construction of classic wooden boats, we also build and repair composite craft—including composite rowing craft.

We’re expanding and looking for a motivated, passionate tradesperson for an immediate start to join our growing team at our workshop on the Brisbane Bayside.

We’re looking for skilled boatbuilders, shipwrights, woodworkers, or marine painters. Trade qualifications are preferred, but solid experience and a strong work ethic matter most. Ideally, you bring:

Expertise with woodworking hand tools, power tools, and machinery

Hands-on experience with woodworking, laminating, fairing, brush and spray painting, and general finishing

A collaborative mindset and pride in your work
