Job summary

JBS Australia Pty Limited is seeking a Documentation Officer to join the Northern Shipping & Docs team. Based at the Northern Operations head office in Riverview, Ipswich, you will complete shipping documentation for multiple markets and vessels, including Bills of Lading, health certificates, invoices and packing lists.

You will ensure documents meet customer and country requirements, maintain ship files, monitor ETDs, and archive within 14 days of sailing while supporting ad hoc duties for the

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a documentation and/or shipping role advantageous.
• Ability to identify basic cause & effect relationships.
• Strong computer literacy including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to respond calmly in difficult situations with a customer service focus.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete shipping documentation for various markets and vessels.
• Prepare forwarding instructions and obtain original Bills of Lading and health certificates.
• Prepare invoices and packing lists, arrange Certificates of Origin, manage drafts and lodgements.
• Process Letters of Credit and print Bills of Lading for in-house lines.
• Complete documentation to meet customer/country requirements and write ship files.
• Monitor vessel ETDs and email completed documentation to customers.
• Archive files within 14 days of sailing and support ad hoc duties.
