Job summary

The Shadbolt Group is seeking experienced Special Class Welders (structural welding) to join our team on a major shipbuilding program based in Australia. This is a secure, long‑term opportunity with excellent conditions and competitive pay rates in a workshop environment.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents and have proven experience in precision fabrication, interpreting structural drawings, and MIG welding across multiple positions.

Qualifications

• Experience in precision fabrication, assembly, and installing structural steel components.
• Experience interpreting structural drawings.
• Ability to pass MIG fillet weld tests in all positions.
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

Responsibilities

• Join major shipbuilding program as Special Class Welder.
