BGIS is seeking a Shift Technician – Electrical for a full-time, on-site role in Southport, Queensland. You will perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance across hospital-grade infrastructure, ensuring safety, reliability and compliance.
The successful candidate will mentor apprentices and collaborate with BGIS teams, subcontractors and stakeholders. The position requires a Certificate III in Electrotechnology, White Card and EWP licence, plus HV switching certification.

BGIS is seeking an experienced Shift Technician – Electrical to support the delivery of planned and reactive electrical maintenance within a large, complex healthcare environment.
Reporting directly to the Electrical Team Leader, you will work closely with BGIS teams, subcontractors, and site stakeholders to ensure critical electrical systems operate safely, reliably, and in line with compliance requirements. Your work will support essential infrastructure that enables continuous care and operations within a major hospital setting.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, detail-focused, and collaborative, with a strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and supporting others within the team.
This role is based full-time on-site in Southport, within a major healthcare campus.
You will work a structured rotating shift roster averaging 42 hours per week, designed to provide balanced time on and off site.
