Job summary

Petrovic business group is seeking a Shift Manager to oversee a safe, efficient, and profitable restaurant shift. You will ensure fast, accurate, and friendly service while upholding brand standards.

You will open or close the store as rostered, allocate crew by forecasted demand, and adjust staffing to balance speed of service with labour cost. You will monitor food safety, coach staff, handle customer issues, and ensure cash handling accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience leading fast‑paced restaurant teams.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and brand standards.
• Proven ability to manage cash handling and till reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Open or close the store as rostered
• Allocate crew across stations based on forecasted demand
• Adjust staffing in real time to manage speed of service and labour cost
• Monitor food safety and quality throughout the shift, completing required checks in eOPS and Donesafe
• Step in immediately to correct any deviation from standard
• Handle customer complaints on the floor
• Coach crew on performance in the moment
• Escalate anything requiring manager or owner attention
• Manage cash handling and till reconciliation for their shift
• Maintain a clean and safe environment and brief the next shift manager on anything outstanding
