Job summary

Asahi Beverages’ Wulkuraka site is seeking a Shift Relief Electrical Technician to keep high-speed production equipment safe, reliable and performing at its best. You’ll join an experienced maintenance team in a modern facility and help minimise downtime across production.

The role offers a standard 38-hour week with the flexibility to move onto 12-hour day (6am - 6pm) and night (6pm - 6am) shifts for leave coverage across a 24/7 roster.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical trade qualification and current electrical licence.
• Experience in electrical maintenance and fault-finding in manufacturing.
• Experience interpreting PLC logic and using PLCs for fault-finding; VSDs experience is valued.
• A strong safety mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Desirable SAP experience; Instrumentation qualification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned, preventative and breakdown electrical maintenance.
• Diagnose and rectify faults across production and packaging equipment.
• Interpret PLC logic and use PLC programs for fault-finding.
• Fault-find and maintain electrical equipment, including VSDs and instrumentation.
• Complete work orders and maintain SAP maintenance records.
• Contribute to plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and compliance.

Join our Wulkuraka manufacturing site as a Shift ReliefElectrical Technician and play a key role in keeping our high-speed production equipment safe, reliable and performing at its best.

Working within an experienced maintenance team, you’ll support a modern manufacturing facility and help minimise downtime across production.

Please note: This role works a standard 38-hour week, with the flexibility to move onto 12-hour day (6am - 6pm) and night (6pm - 6am) shifts when providing leave coverage for our rotating shift crews across a 24/7 roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete planned, preventative and breakdown electrical maintenance
• Diagnose and rectify faults across production and packaging equipment
• Interpret PLC logic and use PLC programs to support fault-finding
• Fault-find and maintain electrical equipment, including Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and instrumentation
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records in SAP
• Contribute to plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and compliance

About You

You’re a collaborative Electrical Technician who can work effectively across different crews and respond confidently to equipment issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You’ll bring:

• A recognised electrical trade qualification and current electrical work licence
• Electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience within manufacturing, processing or a similar industrial environment
• Experience interpreting PLC logic and using PLC programs for fault-finding, and/or working with VSDs, will be highly regarded
• A strong safety mindset and passion for continuous improvement
• The ability to maintain focus while completing routine and repetitive tasks
• Strong computer literacy, with SAP experience desirable
• A Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation is desirable
