Job summary

Lam Research Malaysia is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support pilot, virtual and high-volume factories. You will oversee the planning, development, and maintenance of methods, processes, and operations, tackling technical, quality, and production challenges to optimize costs and performance.

You will work on 24x7 shifts, perform 8D/RCCA investigations, review designs for manufacturability, and share Best Known Methods with production teams to improve build quality and cycle time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience; advanced degree acceptable.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electro-mechanical assemblies and manufacturing processes.
• Good understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot product, process, tooling, fixture, and assembly issues and drive timely resolutions.
• Perform root cause investigations using 8D/RCCA and implement STCA and LTCA.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, quality, cycle time and efficiency.
• Provide disposition for rejected materials and assemblies.
• Review designs to improve manufacturability and quality.
• Develop and share Best Known Methods with production teams.
• Analyze data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support 24-hour manufacturing operations on a rotating 12-hour shift.
