Job summary

Etex in Australia is seeking an experienced Electrician to service, maintain and repair our plasterboard production facility. You will join a small team on a 3-week rotating roster across morning, afternoon and evening shifts to ensure continuous operation.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role requires trade electrical qualifications, 2+ years in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and PLC experience.

Qualifications

• Trade Electrical qualification/s.
• At least 2 years’ experience working as a professional Electrician within a fast-paced manufacturing or production facility.
• Previous experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to operate at a productive pace for extended periods of time.
• A forklift licence would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking general repairs and providing electrical assistance to production.
• Completing a range of maintenance and routine inspection tasks.
• Maintaining up-to-date equipment knowledge to provide timely solutions to problems (fault finding etc.).
• Participating in continuous improvements and problem-solving initiatives.
• Ensuring and maintaining compliance with safe work procedures; and
• Maintaining flexibility to complete a varied range of facility duties as required.
