Job summary

InfraBuild Reinforcing in Australia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain electrical and control systems in heavy industrial operations. You will diagnose faults, service equipment, and optimise performance across PLCs, HMIs, drives, and conveyors while upholding safety standards.

This hands-on role offers a 6am–2pm shift, overtime rates, and a path to permanent full-time employment with relocation support and strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Electrical Licence (SA) and trade qualification.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Strong understanding of industrial controls, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and automation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Mechanically savvy with pneumatics and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Trouble-shoot, diagnose and repair faults across heavy industrial plant.
• Carry out equipment audits, machine installs and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems and assist in programming (training provided).
• Identify operational improvements through root cause analysis and CI initiatives.
• Assist with mechanical tasks (belt tracking, lubrication, bearings, chains, motors, gearboxes).
• Ensure all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to Infrabuild standards.
