Job summary

Ventia's Rigs & Wells division seeks a self-motivated SHEQ Advisor to join the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality team. This field-based role on Barrow Island reports to the SHEQ Manager and focuses on stakeholder engagement and in-field support for Rigs and Wells – Energy Contract.

You will promote a positive health and safety culture, drive continual improvement, and support risk assessments, audits, training, and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Current Driver’s Licence is required.
• Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety is required.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly regarded.
• Experience with ICAM and Taproot.
• Safety Auditor accreditation is highly regarded.
• Field-based safety advisor experience with incident investigation methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Actively develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate operational risk reviews at a site level with the SHEQ Manager.
• Conduct onsite audits and inspections, identify corrective actions.
• Participate in annual reviews of training initiatives and compliance.
• Work with rig crews conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures.
• Facilitate weekly safety meetings and develop weekly SHEQ reports.
• Report and investigate all incidents.
• Assist in Injury Management.
• Drive the implementation of SHEQ management plans, procedures and processes.

The Role

Our Rigs & Wells division is currently seeking a highly self-motivated and experienced SHEQ Advisor to join our Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) team. This is a field-based role on Barrow Island, reporting to the SHEQ Manager.

The role requires strong skills in stakeholder engagement and providing quality in-field support to our resources operations - Rigs and Wells – Energy Contract. You will be instrumental in promoting a positive health and safety culture and driving continual improvement initiatives.

This is a casual ongoing position with a 12-hour working day on a 2:2 roster. Accommodation and flights are provided from Perth WA, and a company vehicle is provided while onsite.

The pay rate for this position ranges from $695.00 to $900.00 per day (flat rate, including casual loading), based on experience.
