Job summary
APAC Talent Solutions is seeking a Sheetmetal Worker/Lagger for commercial and industrial projects in Sydney. You will fabricate and install metal cladding over insulated pipework, lag pipes, vessels, tanks and ducts, and read drawings to take site measurements.
The role is full-time with on-site work across Sydney and regional NSW. You may lead a small crew and receive allowances; a White Card and heights/Confined Space tickets are desirable, with a strong emphasis on safety and practical trade
Qualifications
- Hands-on sheetmetal fabrication background and trade qualification.
- Experience fabricating and installing cladding and lagging.
- Ability to read drawings and take site measurements.
- Current White Card and diverging safety tickets desirable.
Responsibilities
- Fabricating and installing metal cladding over insulated pipework, vessels and tanks
- Lagging pipes, vessels, tanks and ducts with insulation (hot and cold)
- Fabricating ductwork and fittings in the workshop from site measurements
- Installing flexible duct, grilles, diffusers, plenum boxes and dampers
- Taking site measurements and working to programme
- Removing existing insulation and cladding for repair or replacement
- Leading a small crew day to day, if experienced
