Rockpress in Brisbane is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker (Trade Qualified) for a hands-on, full-time role in our metal fabrication workshop. You will fabricate and assemble metal components, read engineering drawings, weld aluminium and stainless to a high standard, and maintain quality and safety across projects.

We offer a supportive team, a clean workshop, and a stable long-term position with an hourly rate plus overtime.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified Sheet Metal Worker required.
• 5+ years of experience in fabrication workshops.
• Proven welding of aluminium and stainless.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• High attention to detail and team player.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and trade-qualified Sheet Metal Worker to join our growing metal fabrication workshop in Brisbane. This is a hands-on role working with a variety of materials and projects, where quality workmanship and attention to detail are highly valued.

You’ll be part of a supportive, experienced team delivering high-quality fabricated products across a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication and assembly of metal components from drawings
• Welding aluminium and stainless to a high standard
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Cutting, forming, and finishing metal products
• Polishing, sanding and grinding
• Ensuring all work meets high quality and safety standards
• General workshop duties as required

About You

• Trade qualified Sheet Metal Worker (essential)
• 5+ years of experience
• Proven experience in a fabrication workshop environment
• Strong aluminium and stainless welding skill
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• High attention to detail and pride in your work
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to undertake a weld test onsite
