Job summary

Central Coast Group Training (CCGT) is offering a four-year, full-time Sheet Metal Apprenticeship in Somersby, NSW. The program combines on-site roles with formal trade training, supported by the ManufactHER initiative to encourage women into manufacturing trades.

You will learn safety, metal fabrication, and CNC tooling while earning wages from day one. The role runs 6:00am to 2:06pm, Monday to Friday, with progression toward qualifying as a Sheet Metal Worker.

Qualifications

• No previous sheet metal or manufacturing experience required.
• Be curious, safety-focused and willing to learn.
• Employed by Central Coast Group Training (CCGT) and placed with Host Employer for day-to-day work.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install thin gauge metal components.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Measure, cut, bend and shape metal.
• Assist with fabrication, assembly and installation work.
• Follow workplace procedures and safety requirements.
• Use hand tools, machinery and workshop equipment safely.
• Build practical skills in metalworking and fabrication.
• Complete formal training during apprenticeship.
