Job summary

Base 2 Build, a shed building and concreting company in the Albury-Wodonga region, is seeking a hands-on supervisor to lead shed, garage and carport projects from set-out to handover. You will work with concreting and earthworks crews and guide offsiders or apprentices on site.

Role starts as a casual position with pathways to full-time, offering consistent local work, a competitive pay rate based on experience, and the support of a well-equipped team with a strong local reputation.

Qualifications

• Current building registration or licence covering sheds, garages and carports (Victoria and/or NSW; both is a bonus).
• White Card / Construction Induction Card required.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable work ethic.
• Good eye for detail and pride in quality finish.
• Able to work independently or as part of a crew.

Responsibilities

• Build steel-framed sheds, garages, carports and farm buildings.
• Read and interpret plans and engineering drawings.
• Set-out and coordinate with slab/footing crews.
• Supervise offsiders or apprentices on site.
• Keep sites safe, tidy and compliant.
• Communicate progress and variations with clients and office.

Job description

You will take the lead on shed, garage and carport builds from set-out through to handover, working closely with our concreting and earthworks crews.

Key responsibilities

Building steel-framed sheds, garages, carports and farm buildings

Reading and interpreting plans and engineering drawings

Set-out, and coordinating with our slab and footing crews

Supervising and guiding offsiders or apprentices on site

Keeping sites safe, tidy and compliant

Communicating with clients and our office on progress and variations

About you

Current building registration or licence covering sheds, garages and carports (Victoria and/or NSW; both is a bonus)

A good eye for detail and pride in a quality finish

Happy working both independently and as part of a crew

Plant tickets, an HR licence or telehandler/EWP experience are a bonus

We carry out concreting, earthworks and shed installations, working alongside established shed suppliers, and we have a large fleet of plant, machinery and equipment to support our crews.
