Job summary

Merge Construction Group in Victoria is seeking a Leading Hand / Commercial Shed Builder to construct, install and lead a small crew on-site, specialising in steel frame and cladding for large industrial sheds. You will read plans and drawings, interpret specifications, measure components, and coordinate with team to deliver on time while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Trade qualifications are advantageous; White Card / Red Card is required and an EWP ticket is mandatory; staying

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or relevant shed-building experience.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.
• Experience with steel frame and cladding is a plus.
• Willingness to travel/stay away if required.

Leading Hand / Commercial Shed Builder - Steel Frame & Cladding

Merge Construction Group delivers large-scale commercial and industrial sheds across Victoria. We're looking for a skilled and reliable Commercial Shed Builder to join our team. Trade-qualified background an advantage. This role involves constructing, assembling and installing commercial and industrial sheds with the opportunity to lead a small crew on-site. If you enjoy hands-on work, working outdoors, and taking pride in quality builds, we would like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and install commercial sheds/buildings and steel structures
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Ensure builds meet safety standards and quality expectations
• Work independently and as part of a team on job sites with the opportunity to lead.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

• Trade Qualification or experience in shed building, steel construction, or similar trade
• Ability to use tools and Equipment confidently
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Reliable transport to the base workplace (Work vehicles available for transport to and from site)
• White Card / Red Card is required
• Dogging and rigging ticket beneficial however not required
• Experience with driving EWP
• EWP ticket required
• Staying away is required from time to time
