Job summary

Metcash Limited, through its Total Tools & Hardware Group (TTHG), is seeking a SHE Advisor based in Brisbane to drive a strong safety culture across sites including Harding's M10, Finlayson's and Sunshine M10. The role focuses on risk reduction, incident response and compliance with the SHE Management System.

You will partner with site leaders, spend time in stores and operational environments, and coach teams to embed safe ways of working across IHG operations.

Qualifications

• Min 2-4 years experience in a Safety Advisor Role.
• Multi-site experience essential.
• Current unrestricted Driver's Licence.
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (WHS).
• Experience in a Safety, Health and Environment role.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety legislation and risk management principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• ICAM Investigation Certification.
• Lead Auditor Training Certification.
• Experience within retail, hardware, warehousing or distribution environments.
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Support risk management activities, hazard identification and control reviews.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and safety observations.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Deliver SHE training, coaching and guidance to operational teams.
• Support injury management and wellbeing initiatives.
• Monitoring SHE performance metrics and compliance activities.
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple sites.
• Promoting a proactive and positive safety culture.

What You'll Bring

Essential

• Current unrestricted Driver's Licence - Driving is a significant part of the role, sites extend both North (Sunshine Coast), South (Gold Coast) and Regional QLD.
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (WHS)
• Experience in a Safety, Health and Environment role

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Highly Regarded
