Job summary

Bridgit is hiring a senior settlements lead in Sydney to own the end-to-end loan process from approval through settlement and discharge. You will coach a team, manage timelines, and ensure accurate documentation and timely settlements with solicitors and lenders.

You will forecast volumes, drive continuous improvement, and partner with Credit to remove bottlenecks, all while maintaining strong compliance with NCCP/AML frameworks. This is a leadership role in a fast-moving fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in managing property settlements within financial institutions or related fields.
• Hands-on knowledge of full settlement and discharge lifecycle.
• Track record of process improvements with measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Own loan end-to-end from approval to settlement and discharge.
• Prioritise daily work to hit monthly settlement targets.
• Ensure documents are correct and settlements are booked with solicitors and lenders.
• Manage discharges, payout figures and release of security.
• Sign off on funding and disbursements; reconcile funds.
• Escalate and resolve failed or delayed settlements promptly.
• Coach Settlement Officers to improve accuracy and throughput.
• Provide reliable monthly forecasts to stakeholders.
