Job summary

Jesuit Social Services is seeking a Coordinator, Settlement Program to lead a multifaceted team supporting newly arrived refugees and migrants. The role requires coordinating the Settlement, Homework Club and Working Together programs with a focus on safety, collaboration, and community development.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in this field, strong leadership, and a proven track record in risk management and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a small team across multiple programs.
• Extensive knowledge of frameworks for supporting newly arrived communities.
• Tertiary qualification in field supporting newly arrived communities and their families.
• Demonstrated capacity to lead, manage and mentor staff.
• Ability to continuously assess and mitigate risk for safety and wellbeing.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services across Settlement, Homework Club and Working Together programs.
• Provide leadership, line management and operational support to the teams.
• Collaborate with the General Manager, Housing and Complex Needs on program requirements.
• Promote a culture of respect and collaboration within teams.
• Oversee program governance and ensure data/compliance requirements are met.
