Job summary

CGC Recruitment is working with a well-established Tier 2 commercial builder in Perth to recruit an experienced Services Manager to lead building services coordination on major projects.

You will work with Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors to ensure mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire services are designed, installed, tested and handed over in line with program and quality standards. Qualifications

• Experience as a Services Manager or Senior Services Coordinator.
• Experience with commercial head contractors.
• Experience delivering services packages on large-scale commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire services (MEP).
• Qualifications in trades, engineering or construction.

The Opportunity

We're working with a well-established and highly regarded Tier 2 commercial builder seeking an experienced Services Manager to join their growing Perth team.

The Role

As Services Manager, you'll play a key role in coordinating and managing building services throughout the construction lifecycle, working closely with project delivery teams, consultants and specialist subcontractors.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring services are effectively coordinated, installed, commissioned and handed over in line with project requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage and coordinate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire and other building services packages.
• Oversee services design coordination, procurement, installation and commissioning.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, consultants and subcontractors.
• Review services documentation, drawings and specifications to identify clashes and resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate services programmes and ensure integration with the overall construction schedule.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, quality, compliance and project milestones.
• Manage services-related risks, variations and technical challenges.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, defect resolution and final handover requirements.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Services Manager with strong technical knowledge and a proven ability to coordinate complex building services within a commercial construction environment.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Demonstrated experience as a Services Manager, Building Services Manager or experienced Senior Services Coordinator.
• Previous experience working with a reputable commercial head contractor.
• Experience delivering services packages across medium to large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire services.
• Experience across multistorey residential, mixed-use, commercial or other technically complex developments.
• Excellent coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of services procurement, installation, commissioning and handover.
• Relevant trade, engineering or construction qualifications.
