Job summary

TaltentTrek is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to build, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and workflows, collaborating with architects and stakeholders to deliver reliable platform solutions.

You'll develop applications, customise workflows, manage CMDB data, and integrate with external systems via APIs while supporting ITSM/ITOM/CSM/HRSD modules and ensuring quality through testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on ServiceNow development and configuration.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integrations.
• Familiarity with ITSM/ITOM/CSM/HRSD modules.
• Understanding of CMDB, data imports and transforms.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

The ServiceNow Developer builds, configures and maintains ServiceNow applications and workflows, working closely with architects and stakeholders to deliver reliable, well-tested platform solutions.

What you'll do

• Develop, configure and maintain ServiceNow applications to meet business requirements.
• Create and customise workflows, service catalogues, forms, notifications and approval processes.
• Develop business rules, client scripts, script includes, UI policies and access controls.
• Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using APIs.
• Support relevant modules, such as IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Customer Service Management (CSM) and HR Service Delivery (HRSD).
• Maintain Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data and support data imports and migration.
• Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Conduct testing, troubleshoot defects and resolve platform issues.
• Support platform upgrades, deployments and performance improvements.
• Prepare technical documentation and follow development, security and change management standards.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands‑on experience in ServiceNow development and configuration.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with ServiceNow scripting, workflows, service catalogues and application development.
• Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and integration development.
• Understanding of IT service management processes, including incident, problem, change and request management.
• Experience with data imports, transform maps and CMDB fundamentals.
• Understanding of access controls, platform security and testing practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project timelines.
• Desirable: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or Certified Application Developer certification.
• Desirable: relevant ServiceNow implementation certifications.
• Desirable: experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub and Service Portal.
• Desirable: familiarity with Agile development and release management.
• Desirable: ITIL certification or practical knowledge of ITIL processes.
