Job summary

Emmbr is seeking a hands‑on ServiceNow Developer to join our Melbourne team on a contract basis. This is not a SysAdmin role, but a genuine development position focused on building, integrating and delivering solutions on the ServiceNow platform.

You will work across platform, architecture and delivery teams to design and develop scalable ServiceNow solutions in a complex enterprise environment. The role emphasizes coding, integrations and delivering value rather than routine administration.

Qualifications

• Minimum demonstrated hands‑on development on the ServiceNow platform.
• Proficient in JavaScript and building integrations.
• Experience creating and maintaining ServiceNow rules, scripts and UI components.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integrations.
• Track record of delivering custom ServiceNow applications.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, workflows and platform architecture.
• Familiarity with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across development, testing and release cycles.
• Understanding of development standards and source control.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

We’re looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join a large enterprise environment and work on the hands-on development, enhancement and integration of the ServiceNow platform.

This is not a ServiceNow Administrator role.

We’re looking for someone who is genuinely technical and comfortable getting into the platform, writing code, building functionality and delivering solutions rather than primarily managing users, tickets, configurations or BAU administration.

You’ll work closely with platform, architecture and delivery teams to design and develop scalable ServiceNow solutions across a complex enterprise environment.

About You

• Strong development experience within the ServiceNow platform
• Hands-on JavaScript development
• Development of Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts and UI Policies
• Building and consuming REST/SOAP APIs and integrations
• Experience developing custom applications and functionality within ServiceNow
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow data structures, workflows and platform architecture
• Experience with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues
• Experience working across development, testing and deployment/release activities
• Understanding of development standards, source control and good engineering practices
• Ability to translate business requirements into well-designed technical solutions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

ServiceNow certifications such as CSA and CAD will be highly regarded, but we’re particularly interested in your actual development capability and what you’ve built on the platform.
