Job summary

Hutcheon & Pearce is seeking a Service Technician - Small Engine Mechanic in NSW to diagnose, service, and repair small agricultural and turf machinery. You’ll work with John Deere equipment and participate in ongoing service training, maintaining workshop assets and inventory while following safety standards.

You will be self‑motivated, highly organized and able to work independently with strong teamwork and communications.

Qualifications

• Current qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanics or similar.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Self-motivated, highly organised with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to use computer systems.
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to ensure we meet customer deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnostics, routine servicing, and repairs on small agricultural and turf machinery, commercial mowing and Golf course equipment maintenance, as well as AMS products.
• Take part in ongoing John Deere Service Training to continue building your expertise.
• Look after workshop assets by maintaining the condition of service vehicles, tools, equipment, and parts inventory
• Follow all safety standards, procedures, and company policies when completing service tasks.
• Complete required documentation, reports, and service records accurately and on time.
• Record labor time and materials used for each job to support accurate workflow and service transparency.
