Job summary

AJ Baker & Sons, a fourth-generation family-owned company established in 1920 with branches across Australia, seeks a Service Technician for the NSW Refrigeration Service team on a permanent full-time basis.

You will service, repair, install and maintain a wide range of commercial equipment at customer sites, with opportunity for ongoing training and career development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Permanent rights to work in Australia.
• SA Restricted Electrical Licence is mandatory.
• Gas or A Class Electrical Licence preferred.
• Valid Driver’s Licence is required.
• Experience in diagnostics and fault finding.
• Hospitality industry experience is advantageous.
• Experience with electrical equipment in commercial kitchens is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical including drug/alcohol screening if required.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing commercial catering equipment.
• Fault finding and diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues.
• Attend breakdown and service calls.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Install and commission new equipment.
• Complete accurate job reports and service documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers and keep them informed.
• Manage daily workload and prioritise urgent breakdowns.
• Work as part of a supportive Service Team.

Located in WA, SA, NSW, VIC & QLD, we specialise in; supply, installation, service and maintenance of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning for supermarkets and other commercial businesses.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, suitably qualified and experienced Service Technician to join the NSW – Refrigeration Service team on a permanent fulltime basis.

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, installing and maintaining a wide range of commercial equipment across customer sites.

You will be responsible for:

• Servicing and repairing commercial catering equipment
• Fault-finding and diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues
• Attending breakdown and service calls
• Carrying out preventative maintenance
• Installing and commissioning new equipment
• Completing accurate job reports and service documentation
• Communicating professionally with customers and keeping them informed
• Managing your own daily workload and prioritising urgent breakdowns
• Working as part of a supportive Service Team

To be a successful candidate, you will possess:

• Permanent rights to work in Australia
• SA Restricted Electrical Licence
• Gas or A Class Electrical Preferred
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Experience in diagnostics and fault finding
• Experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous
