Job summary

NHP Electrical Engineering Products is seeking a Service Technician to join the Service Team. You will perform service, maintenance and fault finding on power products at client sites, ensuring safety and quality workmanship.

You will provide technical support, write clear service reports and stay current with product technology while promoting NHP solutions and maintaining strong customer relations. A full-time role with travel and after-hours work as required.

Qualifications

  • A-Grade Electrical Licence and strong electrical background.
  • Proven onsite service experience in industrial or commercial settings.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service electrical equipment.
  • Safety-focused approach for site and workshop environments.
  • Strong written and verbal reporting skills.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and interstate.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours including weekends as required.
  • Desirable exposure to Low Voltage Power Distribution, VSDs, EV charging, energy management or emergency lighting.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to OHS standards and maintain a safe, clean workplace.
  • Perform service, maintenance, fault finding, upgrades, commissioning and testing of power products.
  • Provide technical support and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Produce timely, professional service reports on assessments and work.
  • Engage in ongoing training to stay current with new technology.
  • Promote NHP products and solutions to customers.
  • Complete administrative tasks including fault reports and client queries.

About The Role

Reporting to the Service Supervisor, you will be part of NHP’s Service Team and will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Adherence to company and customer site OHS safety standards & procedures and maintain a safe, orderly and clean workplace, using safety precautions and NHP safety system always
  • Effectively and efficiently perform service and maintenance, fault finding, diagnosis, upgrades, commissioning and testing of power products to ensure client satisfaction, whilst complying with strict safety standards.
  • Provide technical solutions and support to customers and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Produce timely and professional technical service reports regarding assessments and completed work
  • Participation in ongoing and continuous training and development training to deal with new technology and ensure current products are serviced according to NHP standards
  • Promote NHP products and solutions to customers
  • Completion of all administrative duties including writing fault reports, respond to queries and maintain open lines of communication


What you will bring to the role:

  • Technical capability – A-Grade Electrical Licence & strong electrical background (preferably with onsite/industrial/commercial experience)
  • Proven industrial or commercial onsite Service experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
  • Safety focused approach – site safety, workshop safety & driving
  • Well-developed written and verbal skills (ability to write reports)
  • Willingness to travel – regional and interstate
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be prepared to do weekend work and after hours, when required
  • Demonstrated experience in Low Voltage Power Distribution, Variable Speed Drives, EV Charging Infrastructure, Energy Management, or Emergency Lighting is desirable.


To be successful for this role, you will be required to complete a Pre-Employment Medical.
