Job summary

Daikin Australia is seeking a qualified Chiller Service Technician to join our Warwick Farm, NSW team. You will service, diagnose and repair a range of Daikin chiller systems, perform preventive maintenance, commissioning and overhauls, while delivering high-quality customer support.

The role requires strong chiller experience or HVAC background, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with on-the-job OEM training opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Trade certificate/qualification in HVAC or related field.
  • Chiller experience preferred but not essential.
  • Current driver’s license required.
  • Willing to be trained by OEM across Daikin product range.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-the-spot emergency servicing, repairs and fault diagnostics on Daikin chillers.
  • Carry out routine preventive maintenance tasks and commissioning.
  • Conduct planned overhauls and ensure fast, quality fault resolution.
  • Interact with customers and stakeholders, maintaining clear communication.
  • Mentor apprentices and work collaboratively within the team.

About the role

This is a dynamic and fast-paced role, working on our Daikin Chiller units. We currently have an opportunity for a qualified Chiller Service Technician to join our established team in Warwick Farm, NSW.

This position involves working on a range of market leading chiller products and is responsible for on-the-spot, emergency servicing, repairs and fault diagnostics, carrying out routine preventive maintenance tasks, chiller commissioning, planned overhauls and more.

About you

If you are an experienced Chiller Service technician or an HVAC technician who has a strong central-plant background who is willing to get out of your comfort zone, and join and learn from an industry leader, then we want to hear from you!

The person that we are looking for, will have:

  • Strong technical competency with relevant working experience on Chiller and Heat pump systems.
  • The ability to conduct fault analysis and complete repairs, sometimes within tight time constraints.
  • A desire to be trained by an OEM across the full product range from Water-cooled and Air-cooled chillers as well as AHU's & FCU's.
  • Controls experience and want to further enhance their ability across various control platforms, including Daikin IPM and Daikin BMS Systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with our customers and other stake holders.
  • Solid teamwork and collaborative capabilities, alongside the ability to mentor apprentice technicians.
  • The ability to work autonomously and be self-sufficient.

Other requirements:

  • Valid related Trade Certificate/Qualification
  • Current driver's license
  • Chiller experience is preferred, however not essential in this hybrid style role
