Job summary

Canadian Solar Inc. is expanding its national service team and seeks an experienced Service Technician to support, commission and maintain SolBank Storage and broader BESS infrastructure across Australia. This hands-on, field-based role thrives on solving technical problems on site.

Based in Mannum, South Australia, you will commission storage blocks, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and interact with ESCs, PCS, RMUs, transformers, SCADA and networking devices while travelling 50%+.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrical Technician with 5+ years experience in service or maintenance within renewables or heavy industries.
• Strong understanding of inverters, MV systems, and electrical codes.
• SCADA exposure is highly regarded.
• Willingness to travel 50%+.
• OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain after hire.
• Proficient with MS Office; CMMS experience a bonus.
• First Aid certified and a clean driver’s licence.
• Team-focused with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Commission SolBank Storage Power Blocks for utility-scale BESS projects.
• Perform preventative & corrective maintenance to meet warranty and LTSA requirements.
• Work across ESCs, PCS, RMUs/switchgear, transformers, SCADA and networking devices.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and restore equipment performance to meet availability guarantees.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure safe, compliant work practices.
• Maintain accurate work orders, SOPs and spare-parts inventory.
• Support client training during commissioning and uphold safety standards at all times.

What You’ll Do
