Job summary

Xylem Mount Isa is seeking a full-time Pump Workshop Service Technician to maintain, repair and service a range of water and wastewater equipment. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance and diagnose issues to ensure reliable operation.

You will document activities, collaborate with Senior Service Technicians on-site, and uphold safety and environmental regulations. A trade qualification and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or equivalent (Fitter or similar)
• Proven mechanical aptitude and strong diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on pumps and water/wastewater equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to identify root causes
• Accurately document all maintenance and repair activities
• Collaborate with Senior Service Technicians for on-site repairs as needed
• Support efficient operation of the workshop and field services

This is full-timePump Workshop Service TechnicianrolewithXYLEM in Mount Isais an exciting opportunity to join a leading provider of water solutions. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a range of water and wastewater equipment.

What you'll be doing:

• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and environmental regulations
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on pumps and other water and wastewater equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to identify and resolve problems
• Occasionally work with Senior Service Technicians for on‑site repair and service as and when needed
• Accurately document all maintenance and repair activities
• Collaborate with the wider team to support the smooth operation of the business

What we're looking for:

• Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations
• Proven mechanical aptitude and ideally you will possess relevant trade qualification as a Fitter or other relevant trade qualifications, electrical desired
• Strong problem‑solving and diagnostic skills to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• A valid driver’s licence
