Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an experienced Service Team Manager for our Brisbane HVAC service operation. You will lead a skilled team of technicians, apprentices, and a Service Delivery Manager to drive exceptional service delivery and growth across Queensland.

You will shape day-to-day operations, develop talent, strengthen customer relationships, and oversee service performance, backlog, and renewals in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

• Review accounts to identify growth opportunities and improve service delivery.
• Oversee backlog management, contract renewals, and onboarding processes.
• Plan workforce, technician utilisation, and material allocation.
• Mentor technicians, support training, and performance management.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding to build a capable team.
• Partner with customers and site visits to ensure exceptional service delivery.

About the Opportunity

An exciting leadership opportunity has become available for an experienced Service Team Manager to lead our Brisbane HVAC Service team.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the day-to-day service delivery operations, leading a team of highly skilled technicians, apprentices, and a Service Delivery Manager. You'll play a key role in driving operational excellence, developing talent, strengthening customer relationships, and growing our service and maintenance portfolio across Queensland.

This position is ideal for a proven HVAC Senior Technician, Supervisor or Manager who enjoys being close to the business, supporting their teams in the field, and delivering outstanding outcomes for customers.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing service team to achieve operational and financial objectives.
• Drive operational excellence across the Chiller Service business.
• Manage service delivery performance, maintenance schedules, contract execution, and budget outcomes.
• Review customer accounts to identify opportunities for growth, profitability, and enhanced service delivery.
• Oversee backlog management, estimating activities, contract renewals, and onboarding processes.
• Manage workforce planning, technician utilisation, labour forecasting, and materials allocation.
• Support the ongoing development of technicians through coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding initiatives to build a strong and capable team.
• Partner directly with customers and attend site visits to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
