Job summary

Kennards Hire is seeking a Service Person Driver in Sydney to be the critical link between the branch, customers and their projects. You will provide expert advice, manage pickups and deliveries, and ensure equipment is ready for hire.

The role requires lifting, loading/unloading, regular servicing, and occasional minor repairs. A minimum LR licence, physical fitness, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation and ability to assist customers in person or over the phone.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment and processes.
• Team player with a positive attitude and proactive approach.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift heavy items.
• Valid LR licence and compliance with safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and demonstrate to customers how to safely use equipment.
• Drive, pickup and deliver equipment to customer sites, loading/unloading safely.
• Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions.
• Maintain high equipment quality through regular servicing and minor repairs.
• Clean branch facilities and perform equipment inspections and check in/out.

About the role

Asthe Kennards Hire representative to our customers, we support you with thetraining and development you need to be successful in your role. The Service Person Driver is the critical link between a Kennards Hire branch, ourcustomers and their projects, big or small. You’ll be in charge of everythingthat makes our customers’ job easy; expert advice, pickups, deliveries andmaking sure our equipment is ready for hire.

This role requires you to;

• Instruct and demonstrate to customers on how to safely use our equipment.
• As the Driver, perform pickup and delivery of equipment from customer sites, which includes safely loading and unloading of equipment
• Provide exceptional customer service in all customer interactions
• Maintain the high standard and quality ofequipment through regular servicing and minor repairs.
• Perform cleaning of branch facilities and maintenance of equipment as required
• Perform equipment ‘check in’ and ‘check out’ inspections

About you

• Successful applicants have come from various backgrounds such as; Customerservice, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driver,landscaping, trade & maintenance.
• Minimum LR licence is required
• The availability to work half day Saturdays on a rotating roster
• This role requires some physical components including lifting and standing on your feet for long periods. A level of physical fitness is required and the ability to pass a drug test
• Be proactive and keen to learn new skills
• An interest in machinery and equipment, although training will be provided
• A positive attitude and team player
