Job summary

Emeco in Mackay Regional, Australia, is seeking a Service Person to perform routine maintenance and servicing of heavy mining equipment. You will record issues, perform refuelling, and help optimise our heavy earthmoving fleet while upholding safety standards.

The role requires a current Australian Driver's Licence and experience in mining/civil servicing. A Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain are needed. A pre-employment check will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine maintenance and servicing of heavy mining equipment.
• Record, report, and document equipment issues, damages, and servicing activities accurately.
• Perform refuelling operations on mining equipment as directed.
• Identify and report potential hazards and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and promote a strong safety culture.
• Assist with ongoing maintenance and optimisation of Emeco’s heavy earthmoving fleet.

What your day will look like:

• Assist in routine maintenance and servicing of heavy mining equipment, including oil and filter changes.
• Record, report, and document equipment issues, damages, and servicing activities accurately.
• Perform refuelling operations on mining equipment as directed.
• Identify and report potential hazards, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including the mine's SHMS, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Assist withongoing maintenance and optimisation of Emeco’s heavy earthmoving fleet.
• Working safely and adhering to relevant HSE policy and procedures to minimise the risk of injury to yourself and others

What we’ll need from you:

• Australian Drivers Licence
• Previous experience as a Service Person in mining/civil industry
• Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening, and a current National Police Check.
