Job summary

Emeco International in Mackay region is seeking a skilled Service Person to join our heavy earthmoving fleet maintenance team. You will assist in routine maintenance and servicing of heavy mining equipment, perform refuelling, record issues, and help identify safety improvements on a 7/7 day/night roster.

You must hold an Australian Driver's Licence and have experience in mining or civil environments. A pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and a National Police Check are required.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining heavy mining equipment.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and SHMS.
• Ability to document issues and servicing actions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine maintenance and servicing of heavy mining equipment, including oil and filter changes.
• Record, report, and document equipment issues, damages, and servicing activities accurately.
• Perform refuelling operations on mining equipment as directed.
• Identify and report potential hazards, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including the mine's SHMS, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Assist with ongoing maintenance and optimisation of Emeco’s heavy earthmoving fleet.

What your day will look like:

• Assist in routine maintenance and servicing of heavy mining equipment, including oil and filter changes.
• Record, report, and document equipment issues, damages, and servicing activities accurately.
• Perform refuelling operations on mining equipment as directed.
• Identify and report potential hazards, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including the mine's SHMS, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Assist withongoing maintenance and optimisation of Emeco’s heavy earthmoving fleet.
• Working safely and adhering to relevant HSE policy and procedures to minimise the risk of injury to yourself and others

What we’ll need from you:

• Australian Drivers Licence
• Previous experience as a Service Person in mining/civil industry
• Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening, and a current National Police Check.
