Job summary

Clennett Hire, a trusted plant and equipment hire business in Australia, seeks an In-house Service Mechanic for the Laverton North branch. You will service, diagnose, and repair our modern fleet, ensuring machines remain reliable and hire-ready for clients across Victoria.

The role requires a trade qualification with 3-5+ years in plant or mobile equipment servicing, strong diesel/electrical/hydraulic knowledge, and calm, disciplined problem-solving under pressure.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Diesel, Plant Mechanic, Hydraulics (or similar).
• 3-5+ years’ experience in plant or mobile equipment servicing.
• Strong mechanical knowledge across diesel, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills - calm under pressure.
• Experience with hire management systems (Syrinx preferred).
• Licences: Driver’s, White Card, Forklift, Working at Heights, and ideally HRW / EWP.

• Keep us hire-ready - Ensure machines are clean, fuelled, and in top condition before they go out.
• Safety first - Follow procedures and maintain high standards of organisation, safety, and workmanship.
