Job summary

ARA Electrical Engineering Services in Sydney is seeking a Service Mechanic to service, install, fault find and repair diesel generators for industrial and commercial clients. The role is predominantly based in Sydney and surrounds, with work across NSW and occasionally further afield.

Flexibility is required: occasional away work, on-call duties, and potential weekend or shift work to meet customer requirements and emergencies.

• Experience as a mechanic with diesel generator service.
• Willingness to travel across NSW and beyond as required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service, installation, fault finding and repair work on diesel generators.
• Support across NSW including hospitals, grain, rail, mining and manufacturing clients; some travel may be required.

Our capabilities and experience include the design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, repair, testing and service (whether routine or emergency) of business-critical power generation and electric motor products including a fully fitted workshop with skilled mechanical and electrical staff.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Service Mechanic, Predominantly based in Sydney andsurrounding areas, including work across NSW and further afield.This role would suit a Mechanic who is capableof carrying out mechanical service work on back-up generators to the industrial and commercial sectors. The main functionof this role is toperform service, installation, fault finding & repair work on diesel generators. Covering our diverse client base that includeshospitals, grain, rail, mining & manufacturing. There will be a requirement to sometimes work away (generally less than a week at a time). You will be available for'on call'and working outside of normal hours. Customer requirements may mean that you could be required to work weekends or occasional shift work.
