Job summary

Penske Australia & New Zealand is seeking an Off-Highway Service Manager at the Sydney branch to drive service performance and customer value. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team and report to the Branch Manager, with a focus on KPI monitoring and service excellence.

You will promote Penske products, manage budgets, understand cost structures and grow the customer base while maintaining high safety standards and strong team engagement.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ managerial experience in an industrial/service environment, preferably Off-Highway.
• Strong leadership, customer focus and communication skills.
• Experience interpreting budgets and monthly financial reports.
• Ability to understand technical product information and fault resolution.
• Proven ability to manage customer relationships and drive growth.
• Off-Highway knowledge with experience in Sauer, Allison and mtuproducts is ideal.
• Understanding of labour costs, gross margin and expenses.

Due to an internal promotion, an exciting role for an Off-Highway Service Manager has become available.

With a strong team of Off-Highway Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Customer Service Professionals and Administrative Staff we need strong leadership. This is the ideal opportunity to take the next step in your career and has become available due to an internal promotion.

Your role is integral to the ongoing success of the Chipping Norton branch so we’re looking for someone who has the energy and drive to exceed and deliver results. You’ll report into our Branch Manager, with a focus on monitoring and improving KPIs, while enhancing the customer experience and value offered within all aspects of the Service Department.

With a customer centric approach, exceeding customers’ expectations will drive you. You pride yourself in being a strong communicator, with outstanding attention to detail. With a history in an Off-Highway Service Supervisor role, you’ll have the skills to measure your departments performance against both the business plan and budget, and you’ll build and maintain a strong customer base, while actively canvassing for additional business opportunities, while promoting Penske Australia’s products and services

About You

• At least 5 years’ managerial experience in an industrial/service environment, preferably within the Off-Highway industry (Plant, Marine and Power Generation).
• A passionate, engaging and resilient personality with demonstrable experience in successfully managing, developing & motivating a workforce.
• Strong experience in understanding and interpreting business financial information including budgets and monthly financial reports.
• The ability to understand and grasp technical product information & product fault resolution.
• Demonstrated skills in managing customer relationships.
• Sound OFF Highway knowledge, with experience in Sauer, Allison and mtuproducts ideal.
• An understanding of labour sales & costs, gross margin, expenses and other financial ratios.
• A commitment to, and promotion of safe work practices with a good understanding of HSE responsibilities, and the strong time management skills.
• Have effective communication and teamwork skills, and actively promote Penske’s values and purpose.
