Job summary

Busy Bees Australia is seeking an experienced Assistant Centre Director for our Cameron Park centre. You will work with the Centre Director to lead educators, build family partnerships and create meaningful learning experiences where every child thrives.

The role requires a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, NSW WWCC, and strong knowledge of EYLF and NQS. A collaborative leadership style is essential to drive quality and safety across the service.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher).
• Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Sound knowledge of EYLF, NQS and NSW Child Protection legislation.
• Leadership experience or a strong desire to grow into a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director in day-to-day leadership and operations.
• Lead, mentor and inspire educators to deliver high-quality education and care.
• Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.
• Build strong partnerships with families and the local community.
• Support compliance with the National Quality Framework and NSW regulations.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and continuous improvement.
• Support educators to respond to each child’s interests and needs.
• Step into the Centre Director role when required.

We’re seeking an experienced and supportive Assistant Centre Director to join Busy Bees at Cameron Park Preston, on a full-time basis. As Assistant Centre Director, you'll work alongside the Centre Director to lead educators, build strong family partnerships and help create meaningful learning experiences where every child can thrive.

What you’ll do

• Support the Centre Director in the day-to-day leadership and operations of the service.

• Support educators to understand and respond to each child’s interests, personality and individual abilities.
• Encourage a positive team culture built on collaboration, communication and professional growth.
• Step into the Centre Director role when required.

What you’ll bring

• A genuine commitment to child safety, speaking up, always doing the right thing, and alignment with Busy Bees values.
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher).
• Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Sound knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and NSW Child Protection legislation.

• A collaborative, positive and supportive leadership style.
• A genuine passion for building relationships with children, families and educators.
