Job description

Experienced Agricultural Service Manager | Case IH Dealership | NSW

Lead our largest workshop. Build a strong team. Deliver quality outcomes.

Kenway & Clark is a locally owned agricultural machinery dealer with nine branches across NSW and Southern Queensland. For more than 65 years, we've supported our customers with quality Case IH machinery and reliable aftersales service.

We're looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead the largest workshop in our group. This is a hands‑on leadership role with responsibility for workshop performance, customer outcomes and developing a capable, high‑performing team.

The position has become available due to an internal transfer and offers the opportunity to take ownership of an established operation within a stable, locally owned business.

About the Role

Reporting to the Group Service Manager, you'll be responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership of our Moree workshop. You'll work closely with the Parts and Sales teams to ensure customers receive efficient, professional service while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.

We're interested in experienced Service Managers, Workshop Managers or other proven workshop leaders from agricultural, construction or heavy equipment dealerships who are ready for their next challenge.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the day‑to‑day operations of a busy workshop, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
  • Develop, mentor and support a team of technicians and apprentices
  • Plan and allocate work to maximise workshop productivity and turnaround times
  • Monitor workshop performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce rework
  • Ensure repairs are accurately scoped, completed to standard and communicated clearly to customers
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship through effective quality control
  • Address performance issues promptly and professionally while fostering a positive team environment
  • Maintain an organised, safe and efficient workshop and yard
  • Build strong relationships with customers and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Work collaboratively with the Parts and Sales departments to deliver excellent customer outcomes
  • Drive continuous improvement across workshop systems, processes and performance
About You

You're an experienced workshop leader who understands that successful aftersales service relies on quality workmanship, good communication and strong leadership.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience leading and developing workshop teams
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workflow in a busy service environment
  • Commercial awareness, including workshop efficiency, job costing and accurate invoicing
  • A commitment to quality workmanship and continuous improvement
  • Confidence to set expectations and manage performance constructively
  • A strong technical and diagnostic background in agricultural, construction or heavy equipment
  • A practical, customer‑focused approach
  • Confidence using workshop management systems (Pentana or ERAPower experience is advantageous)

If you've successfully led workshop teams and are ready to step into a larger leadership role, we'd like to hear from you.

Why Join Us?
  • Lead the largest workshop in the Kenway & Clark group
  • $125,000-$150,000 base salary, with the upper end of the range reserved for candidates with strong, directly relevant experience and demonstrated capability, plus superannuation and a fully maintained company vehicle.
  • Standard 38‑hour working week (additional hours only as reasonably required)
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Long‑term career opportunity with a stable, locally owned business
  • Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate
What We Want to Know
  • Why this role interests you
  • Your experience managing team performance
  • An example of improving workshop efficiency or quality
  • How you ensure work is completed to a high standard and communicated clearly to customers
  • What you’re looking for in your next role

We’re looking for real examples and practical experience, not just a list of responsibilities or skills.

This is a full‑time, permanent role based in Moree, NSW.

Applicants must have unrestricted Australian working rights.
