Job summary

Engineering Networks is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Manager to lead the planning, installation, commissioning and safety oversight across Australia. You will oversee loadbanks, transformers and ancillary equipment on customer sites, develop safe work procedures, ensure rapid deployment and deliver high levels of customer service.

The role requires an electrical trade background with an A Grade licence, knowledge of power systems, diesel generators, BESS and heavy industrial

Qualifications

• Electrical trade background with A Grade Electrical Licence.
• Experience with power systems including diesel generators, BESS/batteries and transformers or heavy industrial environments.
• Previous service or operational management experience in electrical industry.
• Experience developing safe work procedures (SWMS, JSA, SOPs).
• Willingness to travel; site travel occasionally required.
• Excellent communication and ability to consult with clients on technical issues.
• Honest and reliable in all facets of work.

Responsibilities

• Planning, installation, commissioning of loadbanks, transformers and ancillary equipment on customer sites.
• Development and adherence of safety standards and procedures including SWMS, JSA etc.
• Ensure that equipment is serviced, maintained, verified and available for rapid deployment to customer sites.
• Act as the technical authority for the team regarding troubleshooting, faults, breakdowns and repairs.
• Deliver high level of customer service and satisfaction.
• Mentor the technical team to create a high performance culture.

This brand is a well established global OEM, products and service provider or critical products used predominantly in the power storage and generation sectors. Their main customer base typically exists within the data centre, renewable energy (BESS, batteries & solar), mining and industrial sectors.

Our customer is also part of a larger group of companies that are recognised as a global player in the power generation industry.

Due to a fast start and a full order book, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Service Manager to lead the planning, installation, commissioning and operational safety of the business across Australia.

Role:

You will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:-

• Planning, installation, commissioning of loadbanks, transformers and other ancilliary equipment on customer sites
• Initial development and adherance of safety standards and procedures including SWMS, JSA etc
• Ensure that all equipment is serviced, maintained, verified and available for rapid deployment to customer sites.
• Act as the technical authority for the team regarding troubleshooting, faults, breakdowns and repairs
• Deliver high level of customer service and satisfaction
• Mentor the technical team to create a high performance culture

To be successful in this role you must have:-

• Electrical Trade background with an A Grade Electrical Licence is manditory
• In depth knowledge of power, diesel generators, BESS/batteries, transformers or heavy industrial environments.
• Previous service or operational management or leadership experience in the electrical industry, ideally leading teams in the field
• Previous experience developing safe work procedures, SWMS, JSA's, SOP's and other safety or environmental procedures
• Be prepared to travel and understand the demands of a commisioning management role. (Site travel is limited but expected from time to time)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to consult to your clients on technical issues
• Honest and reliable in all facets of your work
